The Dogo Sardesco (Sardinian: cani pertiatzu) is a traditional Italian dog breed or type from Sardinia. It is not recognised by the Ente Nazionale della Cinofilia Italiana, by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale or by autonomous region of Sardinia; there is no breed standard.[1] It was in the past used as a guard dog, and as a catch dog in hunting large game.[1]
